Washing Advice
Kokott UK garments are made using very high quality materials and manufactured under rigorous quality controlled conditions. It must be noted that the majority of fabrics will discolour due to staining caused by such substances as grass and mud, which may not be completely removed by washing.
To reduce the effects of mud and grass staining, we recommend that you attempt to remove as much of the substance from the garment prior to washing. If you are using powders or liquids to remove heavy stains always ensure that you read the manufacturers instructions prior to application and avoid any products that contain chlorine bleach which can damage fabrics, trims and decoration.
It should be noted that the sooner you can soak garments in water and detergent, the better your chance of reducing discolouration. It is recommended that you use at least an equal amount of water by volume to that of the garments being washed or soaked, and ensure that all parts are fully immersed. Lighter coloured kits may need more attention and use of prewash soakers will assist in the removal of stains.
Never overfill your washing machine with garments due to the fact that if the ratio of water to garments is not big enough, then dirt can be reapplied and can stain all the garments grey.
We do not advise that you use fabric conditioners when washing your shirts and shorts as it may build a film on the fibres that will prevent the washing process from penetrating the fibres and removing the dirt, this is however not the case for socks which will benefit from fabric softners and conditioners.
Kokott UK and MCP Sports Ltd will not accept liability for any damage or discolouration to garments which results from staining caused by elements foreign to the materials used in the manufacture.

Heat Apllication of Logos/Badges
Do not exceed contact temperature of 160°C or 40 seconds dwell time since fabrics may shrink and distort.
Use a suitable protective layer to prevent dyes re-printing accidentally on other areas.
Always keep surfaces free from dirt.
Ensure that zip components are not trapped between press surfaces.
Screenprinting
Protect from heat any fabric that is already printed to prevent transfer of dyes between fabric surfaces.
During the process do not allow newly printed fabric areas to touch other parts of the garment.
Maximum curing ambient temperature 160°C.
Embroidering
We recommend using a needle size 70 to avoid splitting fibres. |
